Women's Lacrosse Clinches #3 Seed in Landmark Championship

Huntingdon, PA – The Juniata women's lacrosse team has secured the No. 3 seed in the 2025 Landmark Conference Championship and will host No. 6 seed Elizabethtown in a first-round matchup on Tuesday, April 29 at Gibbel Stadium. The game will feature a "white-out" theme as the Eagles look to advance to the semifinals.

The winner will move on to face No. 2 seed Catholic on Thursday, May 1. On the other side of the bracket, No. 4 Moravian and No. 5 Susquehanna will battle for a chance to take on top-seeded Scranton. Semifinal winners will meet in the Landmark Championship game on Saturday, May 3, hosted by the highest remaining seed.

Juniata (8-8, 6-3 Landmark) closed the regular season on a high note, clinching the No. 3 seed with a thrilling 8-7 road win over Drew. The Eagles finished with a +27 goal differential in conference play and proved tough on the road, posting a 5-3 record away from home compared to 3-5 at Gibbel Stadium.

The Eagles will look for redemption against Elizabethtown, who defeated Juniata 11-8 earlier this season. Historically, Juniata is 3-4 all-time against the Blue Jays.

Offensively, the Eagles boast a balanced attack with five players reaching double-digit goals and three players tallying 30 or more points. Senior attacker Kyndall Yeager leads the way with a team-high 52 points (39 goals, 13 assists), shooting 45.3% with an impressive 81.4% of her shots on target. Senior midfielder Peyton Goodrich adds 47 points (39 goals, 8 assists) and leads all midfielders in ground balls (32) and draw controls (25). On defense, senior Maeve Kuser has been dominant, recording team-highs with 54 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers. In goal, sophomore Mikayla Bodley has made 113 saves with a 45% save percentage across 16 appearances.
