HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team lost to visiting Muhlenberg, 13-6, on a frigid Wednesday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium.
Peyton Goodrich tallied four goals, a ground ball, and a draw control, while Kyndall Yeager had a goal, an assist, three draw controls, and a ground ball. Kelliann Drummond added a goal and an assist, while Maeve Kuser had four caused turnovers and six ground balls. Mikayla Bodley had a career-high 18 saves, which put her past 100 career saves.
Goodrich opened the scoring on a free-position goal. She fired from the top of the eight-meter and beat the keeper low. The Mules scored the next two goals and led by one after one.
The Mules outscored Juniata four to one in the first 14 minutes of the second quarter, with Yeager finding Goodrich for the lone Eagle goal. In the final four seconds of the half, Yeager took a pass, sliced into the middle of the defense, and fired a shot past the keeper to make it 6-3 heading into the half.
Juniata couldn't get closer than three the rest of the way, with the Mules winning the second half 7-3.
The Eagles return to action this Saturday at Wilkes at 1:00.
