ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team lost on the road at Elizabethtown College, 11-8, Wednesday evening.
Skyler Stevens had two goals and two ground balls, while Elayna Stubbe totaled two goals. Kelliann Drummond had a goal, an assist, and a ground ball, while Peyton Goodrich, Devyn Mauger, and Shannon Para each scored once.
Stubbe scored the game's opening goal three minutes before the Bluejays scored the next four goals over the next eight minutes. Mauger scored while a person up, but the Blue Jays responded with one more to end the quarter with JC down three 5-2.
Etown scored the first three goals of the second quarter before goals from Stevens and Drummond got JC back within four at 8-4.
Juniata cut the deficit to two by the end of the third, 9-7, outscoring the hosts 3-1 in the third.
The Blue Jays fended off the Eagles, outscoring JC 2-1 in the final quarter to ice the game.
Juniata returns to action at home against Moravian on Saturday at 1:00.
