Yeager, Drummond Reach Career Milestones as Eagles Blitz Blue Jays for Sixth Landmark Conference Win of the Year

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team dominated early and cruised to a 20-7 win over visiting Elizabethtown College Wednesday evening at Gibbel Stadium.  

Kyndall Yeager had seven goals and three assists with a draw control and a caused turnover. Skyler Stevens tallied two goals, two assists, and a ground ball, while Grace Gibbs had five goals, a ground ball, and six draw controls. Kelliann Drummond added a goal, four assists, a ground ball, and a draw control. Peyton Goodrich contributed three goals, a ground ball, and a draw control, while Elayna Stubbe and Shannon Para had a goal apiece. Gwen DeLeva had three assists. Caoilinn Heatley made two saves in goal, while Mikayla Bodley made one. Maeve Kuser had five caused turnovers and six ground balls, while Tess Ledeboer had three caused turnovers, five ground balls, and five draw controls.  

It was a day of milestones as Yeager reached 100 career goals, and Drummond reached 100 career points. 

The Eagles dominated the first quarter as they scored all nine goals in the period, highlighted by three in a row and four total from Yeager. Stevens and Drummond each had two assists in the quarter as the Eagles blitzed the Blue Jays.  

Gibbs, Yeager, and Stevens scored in the first 10 minutes of the second to push the lead to 12. Etown got one back, but Stubbe scored off a Drummond feed to push the lead back to 12 heading into the locker room at the half. 

The Blue Jays outscored the Eagles in the third, 5-4, before JC won the fourth 3-1. 

Juniata outshot Elizabethtown 36-18 and held a 17-13 edge in draw controls. 

The Eagles will wrap up regular season play at home this Saturday when they host Drew at 11:00 am.
