Christy Orndorff holds the distinction of being the only Division III women’s volleyball player to earn American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First-Team All-America honors four times. Despite being slightly undersized for an outside hitter, at the time of her induction she ranked second in Juniata history in career kills and rated first all-time in Juniata annals in career kills per game. She ranks 23rd all-time in NCAA Division III career kills and is 20th in Division III history in the kills-per-game category. She has the third-most attacks in Juniata history, and was a four-time all-conference player during her years at Juniata. She also ranks in the Juniata career top-10 in digs and serve aces. Her career-dig total is fifth all-time in blue and gold history, while her career aces is the third-highest total in the program’s annals. She is one of just five Juniata women’s players to amass more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. She helped Juniata reach the NCAA Division III National Semifinals in 1991, 1993 and 1994, and helped pace Juniata to a runner-up finish in the 1993 tournament. She was inducted into the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1999.
