Sinking Valley, Pa.- Men's Golf took on Sinking Valley Country Club today at the Penn State Altoona Spring Invite, finishing in a tie for first place. The A team finished shooting 299 to secure first while the B team trailed with 333, finishing in 11th place. While Juniata lost the trophy via the second tiebreaker it was still a solid showing for the Eagles.
Kole Washleski continued a strong spring, shooting an even par 72. Washleski took home a solo second place with two birdies. Harrison Levithan put up another strong performance at Sinking Valley, shooting a one over par 73. Levithan served up three birdies to secure a third-place finish out of a field of 71. Ben Pintof cooked up his best performance of the spring shooting 74. Pintof finished one under on the front nine to place T8 overall. Griffin Snowberger battled rainy conditions throughout the day to shoot 80. Snowberger found himself in 30th place overall in a strong field. Elliot Lingle found himself in the clubhouse with an 80 after finding a key birdie on the tenth hole. Lingle ties his teammate Griffin to finish 30th in the field.
Colin Wible led the B team squad today, posting a solid six over par 78. Wible granted himself a T19 finish overall after finding the bottom of the cup for two birdies. Ethan Brown shot 83 after battling thick rough, and rainy weather. Brown finished his round sitting in 47th place overall. Nicholas McCann shot a career low 84 today. McCann posted an impressive back nine of 40 to put him firmly in 53rd place. Jaron Yoder found himself a birdie on the 18th hole to shoot 88. Yoder finished the tournament in 65th place overall. Larry Singer finished a trip around the course today, shooting 91. Singer will dry out from the rain sitting in 69th at the conclusion of the tournament.
Men's Golf travels next to Susuquehanna Country Club as they send their B team to the Susquehanna Invite on Thursday, April 17th.
