Outside hitter Carrie Zeller was arguably one of the finest all-around women’s volleyball players to ever wear a Juniata uniform.

An AVCA First team All-America selection in 1998 and 1999, Carrie completed her career with 1,611 kills – fifth among Juniata’s all-time leaders. Her 546 kills in 1998, her junior season, ranked fourth among single season leaders. With all her offense, it was her defensive ability that became her biggest contribution to Juniata women’s volleyball. She tallied 2,453 digs over her four years, setting a career record that stood for ten years. Her 841 digs in 1998 set a single season mark that still stands at the time of her induction, and at the time of her graduation she had the top three single season dig performances in Juniata history including her 632 digs in 1999 and 526 in 1997.

She was the recipient of the Charles Bargerstock ’47 Memorial Award in 2000, as the senior female student-athlete who had made the greatest contribution to Juniata Athletics.
