A three-time First team All-Conference selection, Nina Mathers was one of the most productive and honored players in the history of Juniata field hockey.

She was Juniata’s all-time leader in career assists with 34 at the time of her graduation, and ranked fifth at that time in career goals with 24. Nina finished her career with 78 career points and was ranked third among Juniata’s all-time leaders in the category. In 1994, her sophomore season, she earned NFHCA Second team All-Region honors after recording 12 assists to set a new single season record that stood for 10 seasons. She capped her career with 11 assists and nine goals during her senior campaign in 1996, finishing with 29 points and ranking fourth among Juniata career leaders. She earned NFHCA First team All-Region honors as a senior, and was selected for the NFHCA Division III North/South All-Star game.

Over her four years with Juniata field hockey, Juniata posted four-straight winning seasons and matched the program’s best single season wins total with 12 in 1996.
