LYNCHBURCH, Va.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team was victorious on the road at Randolph College, 16-10, Sunday afternoon.
Vincent Bechler totaled a goal and four assists, while Reuben Stoll had three goals, an assist, four ground balls and a caused turnover. Sterling Bechler had two goals and two assists while Liam Walsh had three goals, an assist and three ground balls. Eli Erickson had two goals and an assist while Charlie Newman and Seth Campbell had two goals apiece. Ryan Madison made 12 saves in goal.
Stoll scored the first two goals of the game, 40 seconds apart, in the first three minutes of the contest. The Wildcats scored the next three to take their first lead of the game. Stoll turned provider, finding Walsh to tie things at three. Newman gave JC the lead back and Matt McCleary passed it to V. Bechler to make it 5-3 Eagles after one.
The teams traded goals over the first six minutes with the Wildcats scoring to make it 7-5 just inside the final nine minutes of the half. JC closed the half scoring the final five goals, as Juniata led 12-5 at halftime.
Randolph narrowly outscored the Eagles in the second half, 5-4, as Juniata cruised to a 16-10 win.
Juniata will take on Bridgewater, tomorrow at 3:00.
