HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's lacrosse team lost to visiting Elizabethtown College, 25-2, on a lightning-filled Wednesday evening at Gibbel Stadium.
Jahmir Barber scored both goals for the Eagles. Ryan Madison made nine saves in goal for the Eagles, while Griffin Umstead made five.
The Blue Jays scored the opening two goals of the game before the Eagles got on the board. Barber received the ball at the midfield line and darted towards goal. He fought off three different Blue Jay defenders before rifling a low shot past the keeper. Etown added seven more goals and led 9-1 at the end of the first quarter.
The visitors tallied six goals in the second to lead 15-1 at the half.
Barber added his second goal late in the third quarter, this time isolating behind the goal, before coming around and beating the keeper over their right shoulder.
The Blue Jays added six more goals to complete the scoring at 25-2.
Juniata returns to action this Saturday at Moravian at 1:00.
