    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Several records were set and broken for the Juniata College women’s outdoor track and field team during the 2014 season. Juniata received five all-conference nods, they finished third at the Landmark Conference championships for the sixth time in seven years, and three Eagles earned league titles.

There were 75 student-athletes who participated in the 136th Annual Commencement on Saturday, May 17 to receive their degrees.
  • Landmark Announces Spring Sportsmanship Teams

    TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has announced the final All-Sportsmanship Teams for the inaugural season of the award. In the fall of 2013 the leagues’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) established the sportsmanship award as a way to recognize those who are making an impact through their fair play on the field. The team includes one representative from each institution for each sport as chosen by their coaches and teammates.

    TOWSON, Md. – For the second time during the 2013-14 season, 40 Juniata College student-athletes earned Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll standing, the league announced this morning. Juniata had 40 members on the fall honor roll and 29 after the winter season.

Moravian College finished first with 311 points and Susquehanna University placed second.

    TOWSON, Md. – Senior Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) has been named the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar Athlete for women's indoor track and field, the organization announced Thursday. Honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors based on academic and athletic accomplishments.

    TOWSON, Md. – At the end of each season the Landmark Conference announces the Academic Honor Roll recognizing student-athletes that have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. For Juniata College, 29 student-athletes from the men’s and women’s track and field team, the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and the women’s swimming team were recognized as honor roll members.

    One of the many perks of being a NCAA Division III student-athlete is that you are able to do more then just go to class and practice. Sophomore Shalen Perehinec (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) is not only a force within the track and field team, but she has earned Dean’s list honors for three consecutive semesters, while being an active member within eight different extracurricular activities on campus.
