Swimming Earns Second Consecutive Spring CSCAA Academic AwardJuly 10, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the second consecutive spring season the Juniata College women’s swimming team earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Team Scholar All-America award. The honor is presented to teams that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester coinciding with the championship season.

2013-14 Season-In-Review: Women’s SwimmingMarch 31, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women’s swim team continued to defy odds in the Landmark Conference despite the small size of their team. The 348.5 points they amassed at the Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships was the highest point-total for the Eagles at the meet since joining the conference in 2007. Juniata finished seventh overall at the championship meet, but spots four through seven were separate by less than 40 points.

Landmark Announces Winter All-Sportsmanship TeamsMarch 12, 2014TOWSON, Md. – In the fall of 2013, the Landmark Conference announced the formation of the leagues’ All-Sportsmanship Team. Created by the conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the teams include one student-athlete from each institution for each sport selected by the players and coaches from their respective teams. The teams were established as a way to recognize those who are making an impact through their fair play.

Juniata Places 29 On Winter Landmark Honor RollMarch 11, 2014TOWSON, Md. – At the end of each season the Landmark Conference announces the Academic Honor Roll recognizing student-athletes that have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. For Juniata College, 29 student-athletes from the men’s and women’s track and field team, the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and the women’s swimming team were recognized as honor roll members.

Fimple Sets Program Record, Women’s Swimming Drops Tri-MeetJanuary 11, 2014SCRANTON, Pa. – In their first Landmark Conference meet of the New Year, Juniata women's swimming team fell to Marywood University 79-119 and Susquehanna University 60.50-133.50. Freshman Erika Fimple (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) picked up where she left off in 2013, setting a new school record in the 100 butterfly. She touched the wall second with a time of 1:01.34, just one hundredth of a second behind the first place finisher.

Fimple Breaks School Record, Women’s Swimming Finishes ThirdNovember 23, 2013SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Juniata women's swimming team finished in third place overall at Swarthmore Invitational on Saturday evening. Freshman Erika Fimple (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) earned second place in the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:17.19, breaking the program record in the process. Her mark beat the previous record by exactly seven tenths of a second.

Juniata Defeats Goucher in First Landmark Meet of the SeasonNovember 09, 2013SCRANTON, Pa. – Juniata women's swimming team won four events at their meet against Goucher College and the University of Scranton Saturday afternoon. The Eagles fell to the Royals 155-86, but defeated the Gophers 138-110. Juniata also grabbed five second place finishes at the meet.

Fimple helped the Eagles to a second place finish among five teams at the Chatham Invitational last Saturday.
