TOWSON, Md. – The Juniata College women's swim team closes its season as the Eagles head to Marywood University for the three-day Landmark Conference Championships, beginning tomorrow morning. Trials will begin each morning at 10 a.m. Finals will start at 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and Sunday's finals start at 5 p.m.

At last year's Landmark Conference Championships, Juniata swam to a sixth place finish, falling just short of fifth-place Marywood.

The Eagles broke three school records last year, while several individuals placed themselves among the top ten times in program history in their respective events. The meet was highlighted by senior Hillary Palmer (Fayetteville, Ga./Fayette County), who captured Juniata's lone individual title in history while swimming the 100 backstroke in record setting fashion. Palmer also set the school record in the 200 IM, placing third overall. She captured second place in the 100 freestyle as well.

Sophomore Emily Nye (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) touched the wall second in both the 50 and 100 freestyle. The Eagles also return three of the four members from their record setting 400 free relay team, including Palmer, Nye, and sophomore Chrissy Whiteman (Delmont, Pa./Franklin Regional).

Freshman Erika Fimple (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) will also look to continue her breakout season and add to the Juniata's point total at the meet. She holds top ten Landmark Conference times in five different events.
