There were 75 student-athletes who participated in the 136th Annual Commencement on Saturday, May 17 to receive their degrees.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College women’s volleyball head coach Heather Pavlik has announced the hiring of former Transylvania University head coach, and Juniata men’s volleyball player, Casey Dale as the new women’s team assistant. Former assistant Steph Strauss accepted the position of assistant at Navy earlier this month. Dale returns to his alma mater after five seasons as the head coach of the Pioneers and two seasons as the women’s assistant at Washington and Lee University.

SEATTLE, Wash. – Last month, Juniata College women’s volleyball senior Rachelle Wiegand (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches 4 Coaches (C4C) scholarship. The scholarship allows new or aspiring coaches to attend their first AVCA convention. This week, Wiegand joined over 2,000 volleyball coaches in Seattle, Wash., to attend seminars and panels discussing a broad range of issues and advancements in coaching today.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the 33rd consecutive year, the Juniata College women’s volleyball team qualified for the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The Eagles spent eight weeks in the top-10 of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) national poll and finished the season No. 14. Juniata earned an overall 31-5 record, claiming its seventh consecutive Landmark Conference title, and completed the programs 33rd 30 wins season – the first since 2010.
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Four members of the Juniata College women’s volleyball team have been named to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South volleyball All-Star teams, the organization announced last night. Freshman Kelly Reynolds (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) was named Rookie of the Year and classmate Nakita Gearhart (Waynesboro, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) was named a first-team member. TOWSON, Md. – At the end of each season the Landmark Conference announces the Academic Honor Roll recognizing student-athletes that have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. This year, Juniata has placed 40 student-athletes on the fall honor roll, up from 37 on year ago.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – After one of its most successful fall seasons in school history, Juniata College athletics leads the Landmark Conference President’s Cup standings with 40.5 points. The total is eight points higher than where the Eagles were after last fall and one point ahead of Susquehanna University.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The No. 8 Juniata College women’s volleyball team grinded through its NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Tournament first round matchup with Gallaudet University and came away with the 3-1 (25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 25-14) win.
