LEXINGTON, Ky. – After claiming its seventh consecutive Landmark Conference title, the Juniata College women's volleyball team has climbed one spot to No. 8 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 poll, the organization announced Tuesday evening.

Juniata was selected as one of eight host sites for the regional round of the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Eagles earned the Landmark automatic qualifying bid and the No. 1 seed. Juniata will host Eastern University, Christopher Newport University, Stevenson University, Salisbury University, Cabrini College, and Gallaudet University this Friday-Sunday, Nov. 15-17.

"I think team is very very prepared heading into the NCAA Tournament," said head coach Heather Pavlik. "They've played a tough schedule so they've seen a lot of very good teams during the year so they understand the level we have to play at to be successful. They've been training really well. I think we're probably getting healthy at the right time. I'm really looking forward to this weekend."

Juniata will play in the final first-round match on Friday, facing off against eighth-seeded Gallaudet at 8 p.m. in Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
