  • Field Hockey’s Bilheimer Named NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The NCAA on Tuesday announced its nominees for the Woman of the Year Award. Former field hockey standout and recent graduate Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) is one of a record 517 student-athlete nominations. It is the largest number in the 26-year history of the award.
  • Field Hockey's Bilheimer Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

    GREENWOOD, Ind.- The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced their 2016 Academic All-District™ Women's At-Large Teams in Division III on Thursday which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Senior field hockey player Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was one of 10 players in Division III in Pennsylvania to be named to the First Team.
  • 13 Juniata Field Hockey Players Named to ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad; Shephard Named Scholar of Distinction

    CHANDLER, AZ- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association in conjunction with released its National Academic Squad. The squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year. 13 members of the Juniata Field Hockey team were selected.
  • Field Hockey Earns ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Team Award

    CHANDLER, Ariz.- The Juniata Field Hockey team received the 2015 ZAG Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Team Award, it was announced today. The Eagles as a team had a 3.28 grade point average (GPA).
  • Bilheimer Named to ECAC Mid-Atlantic Second Team

    DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Team as voted on by representatives from the region’s member institutions. Senior forward Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was named to the Second Team.
  • Bilheimer Named Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete

    TOWSON, Md.- Since the 2007-08 season, the Landmark Conference has recognized one student-athlete from each sport who has excelled both academically and athletically. Juniata’s own Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was named the Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete in field hockey for the fall semester. She joins Emma Dahmus (2013) and Michelle Campbell (2007) as Eagle field hockey players who have earned this recognition.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) continues to add to her postseason awards as she was named a Second Team All-American by two separate organizations. Bilheimer was recognized by both Synapse Sports and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

    CHANDLER, Ariz.- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Monday announced its All-Region Teams. Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was named to the First Team for the South Atlantic Region. This is her first First Team selection as she was named to the Second Team last year. Bilheimer is also the first Juniata played since Paula Price and Meghan McGlone to be selected to the First Team.
  • Juniata Drops 3-2 OT Decision in ECAC Quarterfinals

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata and William Paterson played to overtime in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament. The Pioneers were granted a penalty stroke and converted to give the visitors a 3-2 victory on Wednesday night at Knox Stadium.
  • Bilheimer Named Landmark Field Hockey Player of the Year

    TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference announced its All-Conference Team on Tuesday. Senior forward/midfielder Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) was voted as the Offensive Player of the Year. She also was named to the First Team, and is one of six Eagles to be named to either the First or Second Teams. It is the most selections for Juniata since 2010.
  • Field Hockey Selected to ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament

    DANBURY, Conn.- The Juniata field hockey team’s 2015 season will continue on as the Eagles have been selected to participate in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Tournament. The top-seeded Eagles will host eighth-seeded William Paterson in a quarterfinal on Wednesday at Knox Stadium at 7 p.m.
  • Catholic Wins Shootout with Juniata; Advances to Landmark Championship

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- It what could be no more than a fitting ending between two of the best teams in the conference, the Catholic and Juniata field hockey teams played to a deciding shootout in the Landmark Conference semifinals on Wednesday night at Knox Stadium. The Cardinals won the stroke-off 3-1 to advance to the championship.

    TOWSON, Md.- For the second time this season, the Juniata field hockey team has swept the Landmark weekly awards. Senior forward/midfielder Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) has been selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week while freshman goalkeeper Kylie Edwards (Danville, Pa./Danville) is the Defensive Athlete of the Week. This is the third weekly honor for Bilheimer while it is the first for Edwards.
  • Field Hockey Defeats #18 Catholic 2-1 in OT; Will Host Landmark Semifinal

    WASHINGTON, D.C.- For the second straight year, the Juniata and Catholic field hockey teams played to an extra period. Much like last year’s regular season finale, the result favored Juniata as Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) scored the game-winner in a 2-1 Eagle victory.

    CHANDLER, Ariz.- Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) is one of 60 seniors in Division III field hockey to be selected to the NFHCA/Victory Tours Senior Game. The contest will be held on November 21 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.
  • Eagles Defeat Spartans 4-2 in Home Finale

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Hosting its final regular season game of the season, the Juniata field hockey team walked off the field as winners as the Eagles defeated York 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon. It was the Blue and Gold’s sixth straight win at Knox Stadium this year and seventh overall.

    TOWSON, Md.- For the second time this season, senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) has been named the Landmark Athlete of the Week for field hockey. It is her fourth overall weekly honor by the conference in her career.
  • Field Hockey Holds on for 4-3 Win Against Goucher

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Visiting Goucher rallied with a three-goal second half but fell short in the end as Juniata field hockey held on for a 4-3 win at a rainy Knox Stadium on Saturday night. The victory puts the Eagles in a three-way tie atop the Landmark Conference standings with Catholic and Elizabethtown and also secures them a spot in the upcoming Conference Tournament.
  • Bilheimer Notches 100th point, Eagles Defeat Greyhounds 5-0

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) became the fourth player in Juniata field hockey history to record 100 points as the Eagles shutout Moravian 5-0 on Tuesday night at Knox Stadium. The win improves JC’s record to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the Landmark. The Greyhounds drop to 4-11 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
  • Field Hockey Win Streak Snapped at E-Town, 2-0

    ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team traveled to Elizabethtown for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the Blue Jays. Alyssa Aichele scored twice for the hosts and Juniata was held with a goal for only the second time this season in a 2-0 E-Town win.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- After a long layoff, the Juniata field hockey team returned to the field on Wednesday night against Landmark rival Susquehanna at Knox Stadium. The Eagles showed very little rust as they shutout the Crusaders 3-0.

  • Alexander’s OT Goal Gives Field Hockey 2-1 Win over Scranton

    SCRANTON, Pa.- Katie Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) scored in the 83rd minute as the field hockey team knocked off previously undefeated Scranton 2-1 on Saturday night at Fitzpatrick Field. The win gives the Eagles their fourth victory and raises their overall record to 5-4 and 2-0 in the Landmark. The Royals are now 9-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
  • Field Hockey Picks Up First Conference Win in 10-0 Victory Over Drew

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata field hockey hosted Drew in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon at Goodman Field at Knox Stadium. The Eagles scored five times in both halves as they defeated the Rangers 10-0. JC has won three in a row to even its record at 4-4 while Drew falls to 1-7.

    DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) scored with 1:14 left in the second half to break a 1-1 tie as Juniata field hockey knocked off Delaware Valley 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 2-4 overall while the Rams drop to 3-3.
