CHANDLER, AZ- The National Field Hockey Coaches Association in conjunction with released its National Academic Squad. The squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year. 13 members of the Juniata Field Hockey team were selected.

Sarah More (Wilmington, DE/Mount Pleasant)
Molly Nowell (Greencastle, PA/Greencastle-Antrim)
Elise Onjack (Bangor, PA/Bangor Area)
Melissa Rutherford (Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville)
Lindsay Scholten (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield)
Meredith Shephard (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia)
Rachel Weigel (Duncannon, PA/Susquenita)
Bilheimer, Groft, Leibelsperger, and Rutherford are four-year award recipients. In addition, Shephard was named a Scholar of Distinction for maintaining a GPA of 3.90 or higher.
