Field Hockey To Host Gold Out Game on Saturday

Field Hockey To Host Gold Out Game on Saturday

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team will host Drew this Saturday in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams. The Eagles will also be having a Gold Out game.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the international symbol is the gold ribbon. The team will be handing out gold mini-Thon bandanas and rally towels and will also be accepting donations.

This coming January, Juniata will also host a Mini-THON. Mini-THON's are modeled after Penn State's 48 hour dance marathon, which raises awareness and funds that are donated to the Four Diamonds Fund. The Mission of Four Diamonds is to conquer childhood cancer by supporting children and families treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital both financially and emotionally. They also provide funds for research.

The event will take place on January 29.  A webpage has been set up where donations are already being accepted. Go to http://fourdiamonds.donordrive.com/event/jc16/.
