DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- Senior Sarah Bilheimer (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) scored with 1:14 left in the second half to break a 1-1 tie as Juniata field hockey knocked off Delaware Valley 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 2-4 overall while the Rams drop to 3-3.

In the first half, Juniata scored on what head coach Caroline Gillich called a "beautiful goal" by Brittani LaFollette (Baltimore, Md/Sparrows Point). Teammate Becca Waite (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) passed to LaFollette from the right side of the cage and she scored with 4:25 remaining in the first half to put JC ahead 1-0.

The Rams netted the equalizer just 2:07 into the second frame. Stefania Strdier streaked up the right side and dribbled around two Eagle defenders to poke one past Juniata goaltender Santana Mays (Parkton, Md./Hereford) and in. Bilheimer's game-winner came as she picked up a loose ball and dribbled around defenders to get the score.

Juniata had a season-high 26 shots on the afternoon with 16 of those coming on goal. The defense also played well as it limited Delaware Valley to just two shots.

Kylie Edwards (Danville, Pa./Danville) started in the cage for the Eagles and stopped one shot in 47:53 of game time. Mays came in for 22:07 and did not record a save.

JC will next play DeSales this coming Wednesday.  Game time will be at 4:00 p.m.
