ALTOONA, Pa.- The Juniata men's golf team competed in their second single-day event of the week at the Penn State Altoona Invite on Thursday afternoon at the par 72 Sinking Valley Golf Club
Juniata had an A Team and B Team at the event; The A Team consisted of Caden Hendrickson, Connor Krisko, Kamden Clapper, Larry Singer, and Jake Matchock. The B team featured Ethan Brown, Nicholas McCann, Colby Starr, Mason Yeager, and Luke Boyle.
Hendrickson improved an 81 in the fall at Sinking Valley with a 77 today to finish tied for sixth and five strokes down from the winner. Krisko had an 88 at the fall Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at Sinking Valley Golf Club and improved to an 80, which tied him for 11th. Clapper tied for 29th with an 85. An 87 for Singer earned him a tie for 33rd to round out the team score, as he improved by seven strokes from his fall performance. Matchock tied for 45th place with a score of 95.
The A Team went fifth in a field of nine teams with a score of 329.
Brown led the way for the B Team as he claimed 20th place with a score of 82 for a 12-stroke reduction from the fall. McCann was 47th with a 96. Starr and Yeager tied for 48th with scores of 97, while Boyle finished 50th with a score of 100.
The B Team was ninth with a score of 372.
The Juniata men's golf team has just one tournament left, as they play in the Landmark Conference Championships next Friday, April 28th, and Saturday, April 29th.
