HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis program fell 8-1 to Division II opponent Bloomsburg on Thursday afternoon at Raffensberger Tennis Courts.
Starting in doubles play, Adrián Di Benedetto Vásquez and Basile Gandon dropped 7-8, 7-9 in first doubles. In second doubles, Ross Conway and Arthur DeYoung were blanked 0-8 while Utsav Deravariya and Ezenna Emuka fell 1-8 in third doubles.
Arsen Tabaldyev gained the only point for the Eagles in first singles, 65-77, 6-1, 10-7. Di Benedetto Vásquez lost 3-6, 2-6 in second doubles, Gandon dropped 6-1, 2-6, 2-6 in third doubles, and DeYoung fell 1-6, 4-6 in third singles. Conway was beaten 5-7, 4-6 in fifth singles, while Dillon Murphy lost 2-6, 2-6 in sixth singles.
The Eagles will celebrate their senior day tomorrow.
