HAGERSTOWN, Md.- The Juniata finished their first tournament of the year this afternoon on day two of the Cardinal Spring Classic from the par 72 Black Rock Golf Course.
Caden Hendrickson, Kamden Clapper, Ethan Brown, Connor Krisko, and Jake Matchock completed their second as part of the scoring team for Juniata, while Larry Singer and Colby Starr scored as individuals.
After both going +6 with a score of 78 yesterday, Hendrickson and Clapper each completed the feat again for scores of 156 to finish tied for 35th. Klapper birdied on the 16th, going +3 on each leg, while Hendrickson also went +3 on both the front nine and back nine. Brown had a score of 84 on the day, highlighted by a birdie on the third, for a combined score of 165 to finish in 49th. Krisko went five strokes higher than yesterday with a score of 86 on the day and a birdie on the 16th, and a combined score of 167 to finish tied for 52nd. Matchock went four strokes lower than yesterday, with an 86 on the day and a total of 176 to finish in 61st.
Singer had a score of 86 on the day for a combined score of 167 to finish tied for 52nd place. Starr improved by six strokes with a birdie on the third hole for a total of 174, finishing tied for 59th.
Juniata finished the tournament in 11th with a combined score of 644.
The Juniata men's golf team plays in a two-day tournament this weekend as they head to the Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, Va., for the Augustine Intercollegiate. The event is slated for Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1.
