Lee Named to Landmark Conference First Team
March 01, 2017TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference released its All-Conference Teams on Wednesday. Juniata junior center Marcus Lee (Carrolltown, Pa./Bishop Carroll) was selected to the First Team. This is the second straight season he has been named to the First Team and he becomes the first player in Eagle history to be named twice since Juniata joined the Landmark in 2007.

Juniata Men Fall to Westminster in ECAC Tournament 71-57
March 01, 2017NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.- Host Westminster used a 27-7 run spanning both halves to jump ahead and defeat Juniata 71-57 on Wednesday night in the opening round of the ECAC Tournament. The Titans advance to play DeSales on Friday while the Eagles end their season with a final record of 13-13.

Eagles Defeat Goucher 58-52 To Stop Winless Streak
February 15, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s basketball team saw its four-game winless streak come to an end as the Eagles defeated visiting Goucher 58-52 on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. The win evens JC’s overall record at 12-12 and improves its Landmark record to 4-9. The Gophers slip to 5-19 and 2-11 in the conference.

Tough Defensive Battle Goes E-Town’s Way Over Juniata Men 62-58
February 08, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata and Elizabethtown men’s basketball teams both found themselves locked into a defensive struggle on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. The Eagles trailed by one point with 23 seconds left but the Blue Jays converted three of four free throws to come out with a 62-58 victory.

Valiant Effort Falls Short for Eagles Against Scranton 64-61
February 04, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Trailing by 14 points late in the second half against Scranton, the Juniata men’s basketball team had their work cut out for them. A 21-7 run slashed the deficit to just two points with 11 seconds left but a Seth Brewer (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) three-point attempt with time expiring fell short as the Royals held off the Eagles 64-61 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gym.

Men's Hoops Fall to #19 Susquehanna 83-57
February 01, 2017SELINSGROVE, Pa.- Juniata led early in the first half but host Susquehanna got off a big run in the second as the Eagles dropped an 83-57 decision to the River Hawks on Wednesday night. The loss puts JC’s record at 11-8 overall and 3-6 in the Landmark. SU is now 17-2 overall and 7-2 in the conference.

Men’s Hoops Triumphs at Catholic 81-71
January 28, 2017WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Juniata men’s basketball team was out to exact some revenge on Landmark rival Catholic for an earlier loss this month on their home floor. The Eagles were able to follow through as they defeated the Cardinals 81-71 on Saturday afternoon at the Raymond A. Dufour Athletic Center. It was the first road win for JC at Catholic since February 2009.

January 25, 2017ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.- Juniata men’s basketball built up an 18-point lead at halftime but had to withstand a Elizabethtown rally as it defeated the Blue Jays 72-65 on Wednesday night. The victory ends JC’s three-game winless streak at three as it improves to 10-8 overall and 2-5 in the Landmark. The Blue Jays fall to 4-13 and 1-6.

Men’s Hoops Drops Double OT Heartbreaker to Moravian 99-97
January 21, 2017BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Juniata led 97-90 with 2:35 left in double overtime but host Moravian outscored the Eagles 9-0 to come out with a 99-97 victory on Saturday night. The Greyhounds’ Sean Hanna sank a pair of free throws with one second left to break a 97-97 tie.

Second Half Recovery Not Enough for Juniata Men Against Susquehanna
January 18, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Memorial Gymnasium was packed on Wednesday night as the Juniata men’s basketball team welcomed Landmark rival Susquehanna. The River Hawks got out to a big lead in the first half and despite a JC comeback in the second, the Eagles in the end dropped a 74-59 decision to SU.

Lee Reaches 1,000 Point Milestone but Eagles Fall to Rangers
January 14, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Four Eagles reached double figures but visiting Drew got 29 points from Riley Collins as the Rangers took down Juniata 88-73 on Saturday night at Memorial Gym. The loss brings JC’s record to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in the Landmark while Drew improves to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Juniata Men’s Hoops Takes Down Goucher for First Conference Win
January 11, 2017TOWSON, Md.- Juniata shot a season-best 66% from the floor and used a late second half run to pull away from Goucher and win 75-61 on Wednesday night. It was the first Landmark win of the season for the Eagles as they improve to 9-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference. The Gophers drop to 3-11 and remain winless in conference play at 0-3.

Catholic Wins in Final Second Over Juniata Men 65-64
January 07, 2017HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Catholic’s Louis Khouri converted a layup with under a second left as the Cardinals walked away with a 65-64 over Juniata on Saturday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The win improves Catholic’s record to 10-3 and 2-0 in the Landmark while the Eagles drop to 8-5 and 0-2 in the conference.

The Eagles finish the 2016 portion of their schedule with a record of 7-4.

December 29, 2016CENTER VALLEY, PA.- The Juniata men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Thursday night after a nine-day break to play Alvernia in the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament hosted by DeSales University. The Eagles recovered from a double-digit deficit in the first half to make it a one-possession contest in the second but the Crusaders proved to be too much as they won 66-57.

December 19, 2016BRADFORD, PA.- A Seth Brewer (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) steal with three seconds left prevented a potential Pitt-Bradford game-winning basket as Juniata defeated the Panthers 74-72 on Monday evening. The win gives JC a record of 6-3 while the Panthers fall to 3-5 overall.

December 10, 2016HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Case Western Reserve went on a 14-2 run midway through the second half to take a lead it would not surrender as the Spartans defeated Juniata 66-60 to claim the championship of the 25th annual Doc Greene Tournament. The loss puts the Eagles record at 5-3 overall while Case improves to 3-4 on the season.

The Royals used a 12-2 run in the second half to break open a close game as they won 78-61 at the John Long Center. The loss puts Juniata at 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the LC while Scranton is 5-1 and 1-0 in the conference.

Eagles Bested by Bison 75-68 in Coaches Vs Cancer Championship Game
November 19, 2016CRESSON, Pa.- Saturday afternoon’s championship game of the Coaches Vs. Cancer Tournament pitted the Juniata men’s basketball team against Bethany (W.V.) College. It was Eagle head coach Greg Curley against his former assistant and player Nick Hager. Hager’s team ended out on top in the end as the Bison held off the Eagles 75-68.

November 18, 2016THE HEADLINE: The Juniata men’s basketball team opened its 2016-17 season on Friday night at the Coaches Vs Cancer Tournament hosted by Mount Aloysius College. The Eagles faced Penn State Altoona and dominated as they cruised to a 90-53 win.

Men’s Basketball Eyes Returns to Landmark Tournament in 2016-17
November 17, 2016HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Last week, the Landmark Conference released its 2016-17 men’s basketball preseason poll. Juniata was slated to finish fourth and received two first place votes. It should seem like no surprise considering the Eagles were fourth last year and returned to the LC playoffs for the first time in three seasons. JC got out to a program-best 8-0 start and won nine of its first 10 games on its way to a 16-11 finish and qualified for the both the Landmark and ECAC Tournaments.
