Men's Basketball Receives Academic Honor from NABC

The Juniata College men's basketball team received indivual and team plaudits from the National Association of Basketball Coaches for their strong performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 season.

Trevor Clune (Meadville, Pa. / Meadville Area), Dennis Fisher (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle Area) and Marcus Lee (Carolltown, Pa. / Bishop Carroll) were named to the Honors Court for their indivudal sucess academically this past season. 

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student athlete had to meet the following qualifications:

1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.

2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year.

3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.

4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

In order to be one of the teams on Team Academic Excellence Award list, a team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2016-17 season.
