SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata women's track & field team competed at the Suquehanna Indoor Challenge, Saturday.

In the field, Kylie Orndorf (Milheim, Pa. / Penns Valley) placed 15th in the weight throw, marking 12.16m and Marylauren Davignon (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) placed 35th, marking 8.71m. In the shot put, Orndorf placed 14th marking 10.05m while Davignon placed 36th marking 8.27m. Meadow Walshaw-Wertz (Sunbury, Pa. / Upper Dauphin) placed 19th in the long jump, marking 4.55m. In the triple jump, Walshaw-Wertz placed 11th marking 9.62m. 

Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) was the top finisher for the Eagles in the mile run as she finished second with a time of 5:34.93. Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y. / Milton Hershey) finished sixth (5:39.00) while, Grace Alexander (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) finished tenth (5:41.99) and Sarah Melgar (Portage, Mich. / Portage Northern) finished 27th (6:02.38) in the mile run. In the 60m hurdles, Walshaw-Wertz finished seventh coming in with a time of 10.27. In the 800m run, Collado, Kalil, Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.)), and Melgar finished tenth, 11th, 15th, and 26th, respectively. 

In the 60m dash, Holly Caldwell (Milford, Conn. / Jonathan Law) came in with a time of 9.25 while Sabrina Kelly (Gilberstville, Pa. / Boyertown Area HS) finished with a time of 9.75. The team of Caldwell, Saraly Gonzalez (Stratford, N.J. / Sterling), Caitlyn Gasmen (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater-Raritan), and Alexander clocked in at 2:03.62 in the 4x200m relay. In the 400m dash, Lydia Heishman (Keezletown, Pa. / Spotswood High) finished with a time of 1:18.78. In the 200m dash, Faith Nichols (Verona, Pa. / Taylor Allderdice) finished 15th with a time of 28.89 and Gonzalez finished 24th coming in with a time of 29.62. In the 5000m run, Abbie Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) placed 19th (21:25.64) while, Alli Goulden (Wharton, N.J. / Morris Knolls) placed 22nd (22:02.18).

The team of Nichols, Alexander, Collado, and Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Bridgeport Central HS) placed 10th in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:37.83. Rebecca Herwig (Somerset, Pa. / Somerset Area HS) finished 23rd in the 3000m run. In the 4x800m relay, Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff HS), Barnes, Heishman, and Aragon placed fifth with a time of 11:23.36.  

The Eagles return to action, Sunday February 10th for the DuCharme Invitational hosted by Dickinson.
