LANCASTER, Pa. – The Juniata women's lacrosse team won their ninth straight game 19-5 on the road against Lancaster Bible Wednesday.

Grace Gibbs (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) led the Eagles with seven goals and one caused turnover, Peyton Goodrich (Reading, Pa. / Berks Catholic) tallied four goals, two groundballs, and six draw controls, Kyndall Yeager (Westminister, Md. / South Carroll) added three goals while Talia Bertrando (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) had two goals. Shayla Lapp (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg), Kelliann Drummond (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Strasburg), and Isabella Michener (Randolph, N.J. / Randolph) each added one goal.

Juniata bested the Chargers 20-16 in groundballs, and 16-12 in draw controls. Chole Gerhard (Macungie, Pa. / Emmaus) totaled six saves.

Lapp kicked things off for JC in the first five minutes of the game before Lancaster Bible answered back with a goal less than a minute later. The Eagles answered back with six more goals in the first quarter, Gibbs having three goals in a row making the score 7-1.

Gibbs also struck first in the second quarter before Juniata added six more goals and only allowed one Charger goal. The Eagles headed into the third quarter up 14-2.

The Eagles' defense did not allow any goals from Lancaster Bible as Drummond, Gibbs each added a goal and Drummond two.

Goodrich was the only Eagle to score in the fourth quarter as the Chargers added three goals but were not strong enough to catch up to Juniata.

The Eagles travel to Moravian Saturday, April 1 for a conference matchup starting at 1:00 pm.
