HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata women's basketball standout Steph Emert was named Juniata Athlete of the Month for the month of December, as voted upon by members of the athletic department.
Emert averaged 12.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals while shooting 90.9 percent from the foul line. The team went 3-2 in the month, highlighted by a conference win over Wilkes and the win over Salisbury in the JC Holiday Tournament Championship Game.
About Juniata Athlete of the Month Award:
This academic year, we will be introducing the Juniata Athlete of the Month recognition as voted upon by the athletic department. Athletes are only allowed to win once per academic year. The purpose of these awards is to recognize the hard work and effort of our student-athletes.
