David Hibner had nine kills (.571) and a block assist in the victory over the Hawks.

LANGHORNE, Pa.-The Juniata men's volleyball team grabbed their second victory of the day as they defeated Hunter, 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 28-26) Saturday evening.

The opener saw the Eagles hit a blistering .448 and pull away late to take set one, 25-20.

Set two saw the Hawks hang tight late again, and pull ahead 18-20 to put Juniata in a hole. A kill from Quinn Peterson (Las Vegas, Nev. / Shadow Ridge)and two Hunter attack errors gave the Eagles the lead back. The teams went back and forth, with another kill from Peterson and one from Joe Fick (Venetia, Pa. / Peters Township) along with a Hawk attack error had the Eagles at set point. Hunter took the next point on a JC attack error before Fick ended set two with another kill, 25-23.

The third set saw Hunter again build a lead late, using a 6-1 surge to build a 15-20 lead and the Eagles called timeout. A service error, kills from Peterson and David Hibner (Burke, Va. / Lake Braddock Secondary) cut the lead to two. The Hawks countered with two kills of their own before a Fick kill and two Hunter attack errors  made it 21-22. The Hawks captured two of the next three to reach set point, 22-24, before they committed two errors and Peterson put down a kill to give the Eagles the lead back, 25-24. The teams traded points, with two Hawk points sandwiched around  Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS)'seighth kill of the match which tied things at 26-26.  Back to back kills fromAustin Goodsel (Corry, Pa. / Fort Leboeuf HS)wrapped up the victory for the Eagles.
