HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College outside hitter Brian Jaron (Severna Park, Md./Mount St. Joseph) has been named the Continental Volleyball Conference East Division Player of the Week, for his performance in the CVC East challenge weekend matches last Friday and Saturday.

Over four matches, Jaron averaged 2.56 kills per set behind a .500 hitting percentage.

In a three-set victory over Philadelphia Biblical University, Jaron had nine kills on 12 attacks for a .750 hitting percentage while recording four block assists. He followed up with performances of six kills and eight kills respectively against Stevenson and Eastern Mennonite. For the week, Jaron tallied six digs, 7.0 total blocks, and two service aces. He totaled 28.5 points over the four matches, third highest figure on the team.
