  • Registration Still Open for Men’s Basketball Camp

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Juniata College men's basketball team still has room in its annual basketball day camp. The comprehensive instructional camp is designed for boys and girls going into grades K-9. Scheduled for July 29 - August 2, the camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is suitable for all skill levels.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College Athletics reviewed its year in sports and acknowledged the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 17th Annual Athletic Awards Night. Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments “Big Five”, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata’s recent success in men’s basketball might lead fans to remember the heydays when Memorial Gymnasium rocked and visiting opponents knew that a trip to the “Pit” was going to be a night to remember. Those who fondly recall those days will be pleased to learn that Carl Meditch, who was one of the architects of that success, was recently honored with one of the most highly cherished decorations in basketball.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Fan voting for the winter Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) all-century teams will end this Friday, March 8 at 11:59 p.m. Juniata fans still have time to help some of their favorites get recognized for their accomplishments, but the window is closing. There are nominees in men and women’s basketball, men and women’s swimming and men’s wrestling.
  • Juniata Outlasts Albright, 91-80, in Double-Overtime For First ECAC Title

    READING, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team won its first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) postseason title after upsetting host No. 1 seed Albright College 91-80 in double-overtime Sunday afternoon. The Eagles recorded the most wins in program history this season finishing 21-9 overall.
  • Eagles Down DeSales 69-58 to Advance to ECAC South Championship

    READING, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team defeated DeSales University 69-58 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) south region semifinal Saturday afternoon to advance to its first ECAC championship game under head coach Greg Curley. The win secured Juniata’s first 20-win season in program history. The Eagles are now 20-9 overall.
  • Juniata Tops Medaille 73-58, Advances to ECAC South Semifinal

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team pulled out a 73-58 win over Medaille College at home Wednesday night in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) quarterfinals. Four of the Eagles five starters finished in double figure points and accounted for over 80 percent of the team’s total points.
  • Juniata Pulls Out 84-74 Double OT Thriller in Landmark Semifinals

    SCRANTON, Pa. – Juniata men’s basketball upset No. 2 seed University of Scranton 84-74 Wednesday night in the Landmark Conference tournament semifinals in a double-overtime thriller. Juniata overcame a 10-point deficit with less than four minutes remaining in regulation to earn its first road win over the Royals since head coach Greg Curley took the helm.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team erased a 10-point deficit in the second half to earn the 70-63 win over Drew University Saturday night in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center. Juniata (17-8, 9-5 Landmark) saw three Eagles tie for the game-high of 15 points in their final home game of the regular season.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team used a 28-point halftime lead to defeat Moravian College 80-54 Saturday night in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center. Juniata (14-7, 6-4 Landmark) held the Greyhounds to just 15 points in the first half, a season-low for the defense.

    SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Four Eagles finished in double-figures as the Juniata men’s basketball team defeated Susquehanna University 86-70 on the road. Junior Brian Scholly (State College, Pa./State College) put up a game and career-high 34 points to help lead the Eagles to their fifth straight Landmark Conference victory. Juniata (13-5, 5-2 Landmark) sits in second place in the league halfway through conference play.

The Eagles are on a three-game win streak since upsetting No. 6 Catholic University back on Jan. 9 and look to continue the momentum into their matchup with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at home this Saturday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m.

The win marks the Eagles second straight Landmark Conference victory. They improve to 10-5 overall, 2-2 in the Landmark.

The Eagles have nominees in men and women’s basketball, men and women’s swimming and men’s wrestling.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team played its best game of the season to upset No. 6 Catholic University 85-75 at home in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center Wednesday night. The season-high point total came from 51-percent shooting from the floor and season-high 27 made free throws.
  • Juniata Falters Against Scranton Comeback, Falls 62-54 at Home

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – In a rematch of last year’s Landmark Conference Championship, the Juniata men’s basketball team could not stop a surge from the University of Scranton Saturday afternoon and fell 62-54 in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center. Juniata (8-5, 0-2 Landmark) scored 13 points off 12 Scranton turnovers and outrebounded the Royals. But Scranton (10-3, 1-1 Landmark) saw more production from its bench who put up 21 points.

    HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s basketball team improved to 4-0 Saturday evening after defeating Dickinson College 68-59 at home in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center. The Eagles shot 53-percent from the floor and went 11-for-13 from the free throw line in the win.

Four of the Eagles five starters picked up double-digits in points in the win. Juniata (3-0) went 9-for-13 from the free throw line to pull away in the second half.

Junior Brian Scholly (State College, Pa./State College) was named the tournament most valuable player. He finished with 16 points, having shot 60-percent from the floor.
