Juniata College Athletics is excited to announce that Shirley Knox, widow of legendary Juniata Alumnus and NFL Football Coach, Chuck Knox '54, is providing $25,000 in support of our student-athletes and the Forever Blue and Gold, Forever Juniata Athletics Giving Challenge. On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, for 24 hours, alumni, parents, fans and friends will have the opportunity to make a gift in support of their favorite team while helping them compete for cash prizes.
Thanks to Knox's generosity, up to 13 teams could win prize money that will go directly to their program. Both the men's and women's teams with the highest alumni participation rate and highest number of donors will receive prize money. Top finishers in each category will secure $3,000, followed by $2,000 for our 2nd place teams, and $1,000 for our 3rd place teams. In addition, the team with the highest number of first time donors will receive $1,000. Finally, each team will have the opportunity to unlock challenge dollars by reaching program specific donor goals during the challenge period. More details will be shared in the coming weeks.
All gifts will support our student-athletes as we continue preparing them to be resilient leaders through this extraordinary year.
