SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata women's track & field team competed in the Susquehanna River Hawks Classic today.
In the field, Lauren Hahn (Doylestown, Pa, / CB West) placed first in the discus (34.45m) while Nandee Correia (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg HS) placed fifth (26.98m). In the javelin, Hahn took first marking, 36.38m. In the shot put, Correia placed second throwing 11.08m which is a personal record and Hahn placed third with a PR of her own, throwing 10.82m. In the hammer throw, Correia placed seventh marking 27.43m.
Maggie Taylor (Madison Lake, Minn. / Mankato East) placed fourth in the high jump marking 1.32m. In the triple jump, Taylor placed fifth with a PR marking 9.25m.
In the 100m, Lydia Hiller (Warfordsburg, Pa. / Southern Fulton Jr./Sr. HS) finished third with a PR (13.55) while Sabrina Kelly (Gilberstville, Pa. / Boyertown Area HS) finished fifth (15.61). In the 200m, Hiller finished third with another PR (27.86) and Kelly finished 13th coming in with a time of 33.02. Emily Vogt (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield Warde HS) finished ninth in the 800m, crossing the line at 3:08.37. In the 1500m, Vogt finished ninth with a time of 5:59.35, a personal record.
The track and field team hosts their home meet of the season, Saturday, April 24th.
