Women's Track and Field Competes at Susquehanna Invitational, Kalil Wins 3K

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata women's track & field team competed in the Susquehanna Invitational, Saturday.

In the 3000m, Azia Kalil (Methuen, Mass. / Methuen HS) claimed the top spot with an indoor personal record of 10:26.39. Kalil's time moves her to second all-time in Juniata history. In the shot put, Lauren Hahn (Doylestown, Pa, / CB West) placed fourth throwing a personal best 11.47m. Hahn's shot put moves her to second all-time in Juniata history. In the weight throw, Hahn placed 23rd marking 10.08m

In the 60m dash, Holly Caldwell (Milford, Conn. / Jonathan Law) finished 28th with a time of 9.14 while Sabrina Kelly (Gilberstville, Pa. / Boyertown Area HS) finished 33rd with a time of 9.86. In the 200m dash, Caldwell finished 33rd (31.45) while Kelly finished 39th (34.26). In the 800m, Mellanie Barnes (Chicago, Ill. / Holy Trinity (Ill.)) (2:42.82), Jessica Aragon (Bridgeport, Conn. / Bridgeport Central HS) (2:44.05), and Alexis Barge (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) (2:50.62) finished 31st, 34th, and 38th, respectively. 

In the mile, Julia Freimuth (York, Pa. / Cedar Cliff HS) finished eighth coming in with a time of 5:39.86 and Barge finished 31st with a time of 6:18.28. In the 5000m, Abbie Echard (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) finished 16th with a time of 21:34.60. In the 4x400m relay, the team of Aragon, Freimuth, Barnes, and Caldwell crossed the line at 4:50.24. 

In the field, Marylauren Davignon (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area) placed 29th marking 8.01m. In the weight throw, Hahn placed 23rd marking 10.08m while Davignon placed 28th marking 8.78m. Hahn's weight throw is a personal best. 

The Eagles return February 23rd to compete in the DuCharme Invitational hosted by Dickinson.
