HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team picked up their first win of the year as they defeated visiting Westminster, 1-0, Saturday afternoon.
Savanna Murray scored the lone goal of the game, while Emma Stiller got a clean sheet in goal for the Eagles.
Juniata controlled the first half as they outshot the visitors 6-0, but couldn't find a breakthrough as the teams were tied at halftime.
In the 63rd minute, Murray got the ball 30 yards out on the left side. She dribbled towards the box, took a touch past the Titan centerback and fired a low shot with her left foot into the far corner.
Juniata finished the match with an 11-2 advantage in shots and 4-2 edge in corners.
The Eagles will host Dickinson, Wednesday at 7:30.
