Warriors Second Half Goal Dooms Eagles

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Juniata women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker on the road at Lycoming College, 1-0, Wednesday evening at UPMC Field. 

The teams were scoreless at the end of the first half, with the Eagles holding a five-to-two advantage in shots. 

In the 48th minute, the Warriors got to a loose ball inside the box after a corner kick before poking it into the left corner. 

Shots from McKenna Kelley and Gracie French were wide of the target in the final 10 minutes, as Juniata pushed for an equalizer they couldn't find. 

Sarah Betts made two saves in goal for the Eagles. 

Juniata returns to action this Saturday at the University of Scranton at 1:00.
