Eagles End Scoreless Against Goucher

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The women's soccer team drew a scoreless match against Goucher Saturday evening at Gibbel Stadium.

Ashley McWilliams missed a shot wide in the second minute of the game. Avery Zales made a save in the 13th minute of the game, while Lydia Hiller made a defensive save from a Goucher header off a corner kick. McWilliams took another shot in the 41st minute of the second half that the Gopher keeper saved. 

Amelia Yordy took a shot in the 55th minute that was blocked by the Gopher defense. The Gophers took two back-to-back shots in the 63rd and 65th minute that went high and wide. Savanna Murray missed right in the 74th minute to end the Eagles' scoring attempts.

The Gophers bested the Eagles 8-4 in shots, and Zales made eight saves on the evening. 

The Eagles return to action next Saturday, October 22, at 4:00 pm against Drew.
