Monarchs Reign Supreme over Eagles

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Juniata women's soccer team left scoreless on their trip to King's on Wednesday evening as they were overpowered 2-0 at McCarthy Stadium. 

The Monarchs dominated in shots 15-3, managing seven on goal as opposed to the Eagles' one.
King's scratched their name into the scorecard early into the first half, just under eight minutes in.

Emma Greggo attempted a shot in the 23rd minute, but the Monarch goalie was able to defend the net. Alyssa Bui's shot was blocked by a defender in the 33rd minute, and the Eagles ended the half down 1-0 against King's.

Juniata's final effort by Lina Rahman went high of the goal in the 53rd minute. The Monarchs put the ball in the back of the net in the 63rd minute of the game to push their lead to 2-0 against JC.

Avery Zales ended the game with five saves. 

The Eagles look to bounce back Saturday, September 17, at Hood at 4:00 pm.
