Women’s soccer plays to a 2OT scoreless draw with Pitt-Bradford

BRADFORD, Pa. – Juniata College women's soccer played to a scoreless double overtime game against Pitt-Bradford at Kessel Athletic Complex Tuesday afternoon.

In 110 minutes of play, Juniata (5-8-3, 1-3-1 Landmark) managed to outshoot the Panthers 21-7, with eight being on goal. Sophomore Paula Pryor (Westbrookville, N.Y./Burke Catholic) tallied a team-high nine Juniata fires, six of which were between the posts.

Freshman Lauren Liacouras (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was next with four shots, freshman Lillian Dudek (Dowingtown, Pa./Upattinas School) posted three and sophomore midfielder Rose Lucidi (Bayville, N.Y./Locust Valley) contributed a pair to the Juniata shooting frenzy.

Junior Gabriella Ricciardi (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) protected the Juniata net for all 110 minutes of play and did not falter in any of the three Pitt-Bradford (13-2-2) on-goal shots she faced.

"In the last five games we've gone 2-1-2. We're playing our best soccer right now, and I believe that we are going to carry that right over into Saturday's game against Scranton," said Head Coach Scott McKenzie.

Juniata hosts Scranton University this Saturday, October 29 for a 3:30 p.m. Landmark Conference contest.
