TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference released its end of the year awards, today. Grace Gibbs (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck HS) was named Landmark Rookie of the Year and named to the All-Conference first team while Andrea Insalaco (Woodlyn, Pa. / Ridley) was named to the All-Conference second team.
Gibbs, a freshman midfielder, started in all nine games for the Eagles. Gibbs totaled 31 goals and an assist. Her 31 goals are third in the Landmark. The midfielder picked up 21 ground balls, 29 draw controls, and caused 15 turnovers. Gibbs is also the first-ever Landmark Player of the Year for Juniata women's lacrosse.
Insalaco, a junior defender, started in all nine games for Juniata. She picked up 17 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. Insalaco also scored a goal against Scranton (4/17).
