LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University hit .267 for the match and visiting Juniata College men's volleyball couldn't quite keep pace, as the Eagles dropped a 3-0 decision to the Red Flash on Friday night at DeGol Arena.
Set scores for Saint Francis were 25-23, 25-18, and 25-23.
Freshman pin hitter Paul Kuhn (York, Pa./Central York) paced Juniata with six kills on 16 swings and a .312 hitting percentage, while senior middle Ben Wolff (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) had five kills on six attacks.
Wolff also had a pair of block assists to finish with a team high 7.0 points.
The Eagles (7-4) hit .167 for the match, with setter John Almquist (York, Pa./Central York) recording 23 assists. Juniata finished with 20 digs to Saint Francis' 22, led by Kuhn's six digs.
Meanwhile, Saint Francis (3-6) had a pair of players finish in double figures. Alex Kane tallied 13 kills on 21 attacks for a .571 attack percentage, while Logan Patterson charted 12 kills in the victory.
Juniata returns the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center for its 2012 home opener on Saturday, Feb. 4, when it hosts George Mason University. Match time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
