Tabaldyev Named Landmark Rookie of the Year and First Team; Tabaldyev/DeYoung duo earn Honorable Mention

TOWSON, Md.- The Juniata men's tennis team earned a pair of Landmark All-Conference selections, as Arsen Tabaldyev was both the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and an All-Conference First-Team Singles player. The duo of Tabaldyev and Arthur DeYoung placed on the All-Conference Honorable Mention doubles team. 

Tabaldyev completes his freshman campaign as a Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and All-Conference First Team selection. In conference play, he went 7-2 all in first singles action, while his overall record in singles competition was 13-6. He is the program's second Rookie of the Year after Ilia Buralkin earned the recognition in 2018-19.  

Tabaldyev and DeYoung were Juniata's common first-doubles duo as they earned a Honorable Mention Doubles spot. The duo played together in eight Landmark Conference first doubles matches, going 5-3 in those contests. In one conference match, Tabaldyev paired with Ross Conway and earned a win to make his doubles record 6-3 in conference for the season. His overall doubles record in 2023-24 was 11-8, while DeYoung went 7-6.  

The Juniata men's tennis team returned to the Landmark Conference playoffs for the first season since 2020-21 after going 11-7, 6-3 in 2023-24. It was the team's best winning percentage in Landmark Conference action since the 2018-19 season.
