Landmark Announces Spring All-Academic Team
May 22, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Four Eagles have earned Landmark Conference All-Academic Team honors, the league announced Tuesday. Seniors Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) with junior Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and sophomore Heather Waring (San Antonio, Texas/John Jay) were named the top two male and female student-athletes who excelled in the classroom and in their respective sports this spring for Juniata. -
29 Student-Athletes Named to 2013 Spring Academic Honor Roll
May 14, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Landmark Conference has released its 2013 Spring Academic Honor Roll and 29 Juniata College student-athletes have made the cut. The Eagles are of at least sophomore status and have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA while competing in their respective sports. Among the recipients are 10 all-conference selections and four Landmark Champions. -
Juniata Recognizes Big Five at 17th Annual Athletics Awards Night
May 06, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College Athletics reviewed its year in sports and acknowledged the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 17th Annual Athletic Awards Night. Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments “Big Five”, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years. -
Three Eagles Earn All-Conference Honors
April 30, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College men’s tennis team showed vast improvement in the 2012-13 season. This turn-around was due in large part to the efforts of juniors Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) as well as senior Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro). The trio’s excellent play paid off in the form of a Landmark tournament spot as well as All-Conference honors, which the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. -
Juniata Awaits Playoff Matchup With Scranton
April 22, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men’s tennis team will begin just the fourth playoff appearance in program history with a match against top seeded Scranton, Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles’ 2012-2013 playoff berth represents just the second postseason opportunity for Juniata since entering the Landmark Conference. -
Juniata Ties Program Record in Single Season Win Total
April 17, 2013Altoona, Pa. – Coming off a tough 9-0 loss in their previous game against Scranton, the Juniata men’s tennis team rebounded with a sweep of their own. The Eagles’ win moved them into a tie for the all-time program record in single season wins and capped off a dominant season on the road. -
Juniata’s Win Streak Ends at Six
April 15, 2013Huntingdon, Pa. – The Juniata men’s tennis win streak came to a halt against the Royals of Scranton, Monday afternoon. Despite the loss, however, the Eagles still stand at 12-5 overall, and 4-2 in the Landmark Conference. Beyond that, this was only the first home loss for Juniata all year. -
Juniata Extends Streak to Six With Win at Moravian
April 13, 2013BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Juniata College men’s tennis team moved to 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the Landmark Conference with their win over Moravian, Saturday afternoon. The win marked the Eagles’ sixth win on the road this season and their fourth straight conference victory in a row. Beyond that, the 12th win marks the sixth straight victory for Juniata and represents the second highest single season win total in program history. -
Juniata Sweeps Conference Rivals Susquehanna
April 09, 2013SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Juniata College men's tennis team extended their four game win streak to five games Tuesday with a sweep over Landmark Conference rival Susquehanna. The Eagles are now 11-4 overall, marking their highest win total since 2008, and 3-1 in the conference. -

Juniata Starts Streak With Win at McDaniel
April 05, 2013Westminster, Md. - The Juniata College men's tennis won their second straight game in a row with a 6-3 win over the McDaniel Green Terror on Friday afternoon. The win was the Eagles' eighth of the season and their fourth on the road. Juniata has only lost once in an away match in 2012-2013. -
Juniata Earns 7th Win on the Road Against Lycoming
April 03, 2013WIlliamsport, Pa. – The Juniata College men’s tennis team earned their seventh win of the 2012-13 season with a 7-2 win over Lycoming College on Wednesday. The win moves the Eagles within one win of matching their win total from all of last season and marks their third road win of the year. -
Juniata Men Earn Back to Back Wins With Victory Over Stevenson
March 30, 2013Coming off an impressive 9-0 win over the Goucher Gophers the Juniata College Men’s tennis team earned another win Saturday, against the Stevenson Mustangs. The Eagles were strong in doubles play and fell just short of another sweep, winning 6-3. -
Juniata Earns Impressive Win Over Goucher
March 28, 2013Huntingdon, Pa. – After a hard fought loss at Drew, the Eagles earned a victory against Goucher in their first home match of the 2012-2013 spring season. Juniata did not lose in singles or doubles competition and improved to 5-3. The win marks coach Jason Cohen’s first home victory in his first full season at the helm of the Juniata tennis program. -
