TOWSON, Md.- Juniata men's basketball standout Chase Husted was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team after earning Second Team honors in the past two seasons.
Husted's junior season saw the post lead the team in points (449, 16.0 per game), field goal percentage (59.4%), rebounds (261, 9.3 per game), and blocks (27, 1.0 per game). His 261 rebounds are the eighth most in a single season in program history, while his 27 blocked shots are the ninth most in a single season in program history. He set a single-season career high in double-doubles with 12, including 10 in conference play, and single-game career highs for points (23 against Drew on Dec. 3 and Goucher on Feb. 23) and rebounds (20 against Elizabethtown on Feb. 1st). He was first in field goal percentage among Landmark Conference players, second in rebounds per game, seventh in points per game, tenth in assists per game (2.4), and fifth in blocked shots per game.
The Juniata men's basketball team qualified for their third-straight Landmark Conference playoff, advancing to the finals as the #4 seed in the tournament before falling 84-63 to Scranton in the championship game. They end the year 17-11, 9-5 in the Landmark Conference, with their seventh Landmark Conference playoffs appearance, fifth Landmark Conference finals appearance, and ninth ECAC Tournament appearance.
