Eagle Extra: Ethan Wilt, Football
June 18, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Central Pennsylvania native Ethan Wilt (Altoona,Pa./Altoona Area) is heading into his final season with Juniata College football. The starting linebacker was named one of the four team captains for 2014 after helping the team to the program's highest win total since 1990, and the most conference wins since 1999. Wilt was named All-Centennial Conference and earned a place on the Centennial Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative grade point average over 3.40 during last season. -

May 18, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – With each of their respective athletic careers at Juniata College officially over, the Eagle senior student-athletes had their sights on one more milestone, graduation. There were 75 student-athletes who participated in the 136th Annual Commencement on Saturday, May 17 to receive their degrees. -
Juniata Football Announces Summer Camps
May 08, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College football team has announced its youth and big men camps, college prospect clinic, and 7-on-7 passing tournament. All four will take place in the month of June. The Youth Camp, which runs June 16-18, is the only multi-day camp. While the College Prospect Clinic, Big Man Camp, and 7-on-7 Passing Tournament are all single day programs. -
Three Eagles Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society
May 07, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Three Juniata College football student-athletes recently earned membership to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. The organization recognizes football student-athletes from every division who have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA while being a starter in their last year of eligibility. -

Felus Invited to NFL Super Regional Combine
April 11, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) turned enough heads at the Baltimore regional combine to earn an invite to the National Football League (NFL) Super Regional Combine at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. The event runs Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13, 2014 and according the NFL, “allows participants the opportunity to work out and showcase their talents in front of NFL club scouts and player personnel staff.” -

Four Eagles Named to Centennial Academic Honor Roll
January 01, 2014HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football placed four on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Senior Jared Shope (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area), juniors Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and Ethan Wilt (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area), along with sophomore Michael John (Osceola Mills, Pa./ Phillipsburg-Osceola), made the cut by maintaining a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.40 or higher while participating in at least 50 percent of the Eagles games. The foursome did better than the 3.40 minimum, averaging a 3.64 GPA between them. -
Felus D3football.com Honorable Mention All-American
December 31, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) closed out the year and his career with another accolade. The 6-3, 265 pound defensive tackle was recently named to D3football.com’s Honorable Mention All-America Team. This is his second All-America honor this year. Felus was also voted Second-Team All-America by Beyond SportsNetwork.com earlier this month. -
2013 Season-in-Review: Football
December 19, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – This year marked the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Juniata football team playing for the first ever NCAA Division III National Championship and the 2013 Eagles used this year to make their own historic run. After going 0-10 three years ago, Juniata finished at 7-4 overall, 6-3 in the Centennial Conference, posting the programs highest win total since 1990, and the most conference wins since 1999. -
Felus Named ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year and All-Star
December 18, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) added two more honors to his resume Wednesday night after the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named him ECAC Division III South Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team all-star. The defensive tackle was the only Centennial Conference student-athlete to earn player of the year honors in the south and one of four first-team all-stars on defense. -

Felus Earns Second-Team All-America Honors
December 12, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The accolades continue to pour in for Juniata College football’s Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia). The senior captain was named a Second-Team All-American by BeyondSportsNetwork.com on Thursday. It marks his third postseason nod this year and the first time since 2001 an Eagle has earned All-America honors. The last All-Americans were Josh Seiders and Paul Evans, both also coached by Tim Launtz, the current Eagle head coach. -
Felus Named First-Team All-South Region
December 10, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) was named to the D3football.com First-Team All-South Region, the organization announced Tuesday. Described by head coach Tim Launtz as a dominant, physical player who leads by example, Felus is one of five Centennial Conference student-athletes to earn first-team honors. He is also the first all-region selection under Launtz. -
Late Push Downs Eagles in ECAC Championship
November 23, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College football team started strong, but could not hold on as it fell 45-34 to Albright College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Bowl Saturday afternoon. The Eagles held the ball for 3:44 in the first 5:35 of play and scored 14 points. Juniata (7-3) ended its year with the most wins since 1990. This also was Juniata’s first postseason appearance in 40 years. -

November 21, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The 2013 Juniata College football team is doing something that only two other squads in program history have. The Eagles will play in a postseason contest. Launtz, Felus Take Top Conference Honors
November 19, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – After posting the most wins since 1990, and earning a trip to its first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) bowl game, the Juniata College football team continued to soar high on Tuesday when the Centennial Conference announced head coach Tim Launtz was the Coach of the Year, senior Brandon Felus (Columbia, Pa./Columbia) was Defensive Player of the Year, and eight Eagles had been selected to all-conference teams. The number marks the most of any Eagle team since 2002 and the highest ever in the Centennial. -
Juniata Football To Face Albright in First ECAC Bowl Berth
November 18, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the first time in program history, the Juniata College football team is heading to an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) bowl game. The Eagles will face Albright College on the road Saturday, Nov. 23 in the Southwest Bowl at 1 p.m. This is only the third postseason appearance in program history for Juniata, who finished the regular season with a 7-3 overall record. They are 2-1 in postseason play. -
Juniata Reclaims Goal Post in 17-10 Win Over Susquehanna
November 16, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football held on for the 17-10 win over Centennial Conference rival Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon in the annual Battle for the Goal Post game in Knox Stadium. Susquehanna (1-9, 1-8 Centennial) leads the all-time series 38-33-3, but Juniata has won two straight at home against the Crusaders. The Eagles 7-3 overall record ties them for the most wins since 1990. And this is the first time they have finished the regular season third in the Centennial and are tied with two other teams at 6-3 in league play. -
Eagles Host Susquehanna in Goal Post Game
November 13, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College football is back home for its final regular season game and what better way to close out this historic run than against the Eagles biggest rival. Juniata hosts Susquehanna University this Saturday, Nov. 16 at noon for the annual Battle for the Goalpost in Knox Stadium. It is also senior day for the Eagles and they will take time to honor their 11 seniors prior to kickoff. -
Juniata Holds on for 27-14 Win Over Moravian
November 09, 2013BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Juniata College football dominated Centennial Conference rival Moravian College Saturday en route to its 27-14 win at Rocco Calvo Field. Juniata (6-3, 5-3 Centennial) held the Greyhounds scoreless for over three quarters in a very physical game. The Eagles’ win tied up the all-time series between the programs at 28-28-2. Moravian dropped to 2-8 overall, 2-7 in Centennial action with the loss. -

Shope Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team
November 07, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College senior Jared Shope (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) was named to the Capital One Academic All-District football team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday. Shope was one of 11 Centennial Conference student-athletes to earn first team honors. -
Juniata Runs Through McDaniel in 42-21 Road Win
November 02, 2013WESTMINSTER, Md. – Juniata College football improved to 5-3 on the season, 4-3 in the Centennial Conference, after running through McDaniel College Saturday afternoon in Gill Stadium. This was the first time Juniata has put up 40 points against the Green Terror since 1985. The Eagles now lead the all-time series 13-12-1 and have matched their highest win total since 2002. The win also marks the first time since 1999 that Juniata has had a winning road record. -

They started the year with three straight wins and are looking to close out the year on the same kind of streak. -
Kysor Recognized by Fred Mitchell Award
October 29, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College senior Ken Kysor (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) was recognized by the Fred Mitchell Award Tuesday for his performance on and off the gridiron during the month of October. The organization acknowledges place-kickers for their excellence on the field and in the community during the months of September, October and November leading into the selection of a single award winner in December. Kysor was one of eight kickers in NCAA Division III to be recognized.
