GREENSBORO, N.C.- Juniata first baseman Michael Warren has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region Third Team for Region 5.
Warren has already claimed First-Team Landmark Conference All-Conference honors at first base this spring. Among Landmark Conference players in 2023, Warren was third in batting average (.409), fourth in slugging percentage (.705), fifth in on-base percentage (.509), second in OPS (1.214), fifth in doubles (15), tied for third in triples (3), tied for eighth in home runs (6), eighth in RBI (43), and eighth in total bases (93). He also set several historic single-season stat lines for the Eagles this season, setting the program's sixth-highest slugging percentage (.705), fifth-highest on-base percentage (.509), tying for the second-most doubles in a season (15), tying for the third-most RBI in a season (43), and tying for the fourth-most total bases in a single season (93).
Warren also set the program's single-game record for doubles with four against Scranton.
Warren will return for a graduate season in 2024, and he currently holds the program's ninth-best slugging percentage (.445) and eighth-best on-base percentage (.415).
The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
