HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles fell to Penn State Harrisburg 14-5 on Wednesday.

Chris Schreder (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) went 4-for-5 for the day, three of those hits being doubles. Schreder has 43 hits this season and a batting average of .361.

Juniata's bats were slow to start, but the Eagles were able to put their first run on the board in the fifth. Devyn Carper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) reached first on an error and advanced to second and scored on Schreder's double to left field.

In the bottom of the sixth, Devin McLaughlin (Monmouth Beach, NJ/Shore Regional) and Matt Innella (Commack, NY/Commack) each singled to start off the inning. Shane Buss (Warrenton, Va./Highland) doubled to left center, sending in McLaughlin for the second run of the game. Kevin Starner (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) hit a double of his own to get Innella home, and Gavin Grimaldi (Clymer, Pa./Penns Manor) flied out to right field to score Buss.

The Eagles scored their fifth and final run of the game in the eighth. Starner walked and was advanced to third on Grimaldi's single. Schreder doubled to left, sending Starner home.

Juniata is 6-28 for the season and 1-11 in conference play. The Eagles return to action on Saturday for a three-game conference series against Elizabethtown.
