Smith Named Juniata Athlete of the Month
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata women’s swim standout Eleanor Smith was named Juniata Athlete of the Month for November, as voted upon by members of the athletic department.
Smith had continued had a strong November for the Eagles. Currently, she is the top point scorer across the Men's and Women's teams and is scoring over 100 points during the month of November. At the Cougar Splash invite, she took down two school records, one in the 400 IM originally set in 2000 by Alyssa Schneider and the 500 freestyle set by Kasey Brough in 2007. Eleanor has secured herself as one of the top 15 swimmers in the conference according to swimcloud. She is currently ranked sixth in the 500, seventh in the 1000, seventh in the 1650, and first in the 400 IM.
