TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's lacrosse junior defender Tess Ledeboer was named Defensive Athlete of the Week, earning her first career Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honor.
Ledeboer played a key role in a pair of non-conference games in the past week as Juniata defeated Albright 18-3 at home on Wednesday, while they hosted Marywood in an 18-10 win on Saturday.
In defense, Ledeboer collected 11 ground balls, ten caused turnovers, and five draw controls. In the win against Marywood, she set new career highs for ground balls with eight and caused turnovers with six. The eight ground balls are tied for the second-most in a single game in program history, while she tied for the third-most caused turnovers in a single game in program history.
Ledeboer is joined by Offensive Player of the Week Grace Gibbs in sweeping Athlete of the Week honors for Juniata.
The Juniata women's lacrosse team returns to action this Saturday, March 16th, at 1:00 pm, as they face Misericordia.
