Greyhounds Gallop Past Eagles

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team dropped their final game of the regular season, 18-4, at Moravian, Tuesday afternoon at John Makuvek Field.

Grace Gibbs (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck HS) scored all four goals for Juniata to go with six ground balls, three draw controls, and a caused turnover. Andrea Insalaco (Woodlyn, Pa. / Ridley) added four ground balls and a caused turnover. Chloe Gerhard (Macungie, Pa. / Emmaus H.S.) made five saves in goal in the first half for JC, while Isabella Medaris (Monroe, Conn. / Masuk H.S.) came in for the second half and made six saves.

The Greyhounds scored first, two and half minutes into the game, and Gibbs countered with an unassisted goal two minutes later.

Moravian scored the next eight goals to make it 9-1 before Gibbs second of the game with a little over 11 minutes to play in the half. The hosts tacked on an additional three goals before the break as JC trailed 12-2 at the half.

The beginning of the second featured goals from both teams as Gibbs answered the Greyhound goal with one of her own from a free-position shot made it 13-3. The Greyhounds tallied three more over the next 15 minutes before Gibbs tallied her fourth.

Moravian struck for two more down the stretch to finish the scoring at 18-4.
