Natalie Gibson bagged her third hat trick of the year at DeSales.
Natalie Gibson bagged her third hat trick of the year at DeSales.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.-The Juniata women's lacrosse team lost at DeSales, 18-4, Saturday afternoon.

Neither team scored in the first eight minutes until the Bulldogs rattled off three quick goals. Talia Bertrando (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick) found Natalie Gibson (Annapolis, Md. / Broadneck) for the first goal for the Eagles, but the Bulldogs responded with four of their own to make it 7-1 with just under six minutes to go in the half. Bertrando scored unassisted, but DeSales struck once more with a little over a minute to go as the Eagles trailed 8-2 at the half.

The Bulldogs scored the first three goals of the second half in the first two minutes to push their lead to nine before Paige Riker (Sussex, N.J. / Vernon Township) found Gibson for a pair of goals 29 seconds apart, but those were the final goals of the contest for Juniata. The

Isabella Medaris (Monroe, Conn. / Masulk) made eight saves for the Eagles.

The Eagles return home for a game against Cedar Crest, tomorrow at 1:00.
